Some sobering facts: CPSC estimates more than 300,00 fires, 2,100 deaths, 12,000 injuries, and $6billion in property loss each year from 2011 to 2013. According to the National Fire Protection Association, roughly 3 out of 5 fire deaths happen in homes with no smoke alarms or where the smoke alarms are not working.
